about
bernhard ludescher
Bernhard Ludescher started playing piano at the age of 6 and moved through the classical world before discovering Herbie Hancock’s recording „Empyrean Isles“ with the age of 14. After joining the local jazz ensemble he soon started to reach out for additional lessons and started to work with renowned pianist Christian Wegscheider in Innsbruck. After 2 years of preparation he started to study at the university of arts in Graz from 2006-2011 and finished his studies in Jazz-Piano. In this period he was working with a lot of different teachers and workshops, for example: Richie Beirach, Fred Hersh, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Juan Garcia Herreros, Peter Horvath, Taylor Eigsti, Adam Holzman. In the following time Bernhard played and established a lot of different projects in Austria with the main project being Loktor and also started to work as a producer for various artists. Bernhard’s band Loktor was founded in 2013 and released their debut CD „Loktor of Heaven“ in 2015, plus a series of videos which lead to concerts all over Europe. Loktor won the Joe Zawinul Award soon after the initiation in 2014. After living in Vienna and Graz, Bernhard moved to Berlin in 2016, where he quickly established to be a well sought pianist/keyboardist in various jazz/funk and pop projects.
From 2018-ongoing, Bernhard established a new solo project called „DX-Digital“ which lead to three 5-track Ep’s and several singles, leading up to a full scale album release in May 2021 (Pacific Ryder) that came out on vinyl, cassete, cd and mini disc.
Through the continued work with many different musicians during 2017-2020, a new lineup of LOKTOR was formed and after an intensive writing period 2019/2020 went to the studio in Feb 2021 (Berlin) and Sept 2021 (Recpublica). Loktor is preparing its second Album release „Almost“ for 2022 and a seperate EP Release „Lifting Spirits“ (4tracks) to be the predecessor of the main album.

fusion revisited
